14 November 2024: We are delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Aitchison to our Roke Executive Committee as Director of National Security.

Phil, who joined the business in June, will use his 20 years of experience working with critical national infrastructure clients to drive the evolution of Roke’s National Security strategy. As the UK faces more diverse and disruptive security threats, Roke blends technology and human expertise with operational insight to deliver mission capability that helps clients protect people and the assets they depend on.

Roke works closely with its clients to co-create capability utilising a rich heritage of delivery in Cyber, AI, Machine Learning, Sensors and Communications. Roke is trusted to assure the security of critical mission infrastructure and uses AI with open-source intelligence (OSINT) to provide operational insight in support of decision-making in challenging environments.

Roke’s growth ambition for National Security is to leverage proprietary capability with expertise from SMEs, mid-tier and academic partners to help the UK respond effectively to a world of global uncertainty and regional conflict. This is enabled by Roke’s domain expertise in digital superiority, radio, access, operational cyber and high assurance of cryptographic technologies.

Roke brings the technical expertise of more than 800+ engineers and technologists, with the creative spark and diverse talent of Roke Academy graduates to help make the world a safer place for millions of people.

Phil brings over 20 years of experience of working with critical national infrastructure clients. Before Roke, he was Executive Director at Alchemmy, led the Digital Security business for Atos across North Europe and was a Business Mentor at the Alacrity Foundation. Roke will benefit from Phil’s broad experience across numerous disciplines including law enforcement, cyber security, and big data.
