Our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Iris, has been used in systems performing a variety of applications worldwide and was one of the first systems on the market.
One of the most common uses of ANPR is access control, useful on any busy site which experiences a constant flow of employees, visitors and deliveries throughout each day.
Iris reads the number plates approaching the barrier and checks them off against a database containing details of the employees’ vehicles. The barrier is opened if the plate is in the database, otherwise the security officers are notified.
Iris has also been utilised for section speed control, border monitoring, security, road tolling, film processing and traffic management.
